I know that word/sentiment! That was my word of the day on Monday! We are very good very well acquainted, because many of the things that come out of my employees mouths make me want to utter that! *points to icon*

I've been having a whole week with this - really??? nonsense.

My favourite so far was:

Dear HR, my employee number appears to have changed. Does this mean I will not be paid correctly this month? What about my full basic salary?

(and this was after pay day, the money already in our accounts)

My reply: Dear Sir. Your employee number has not changed. You have just been using the wrong number for the past five years.

(and then I fell off my chair)

I am having really? moments with my HR person today. Who can't seem to find anything I have sent them this week about a termination, but is just getting around to emails I sent last week about events that lead up to it.

If you were my HR, my life would be so much easier.

I was reading the payroll entries today for HR (which technically isn't even my job) and explaining it to HR that yes, those were correct and yes, my employees worked those hours and it matched their schedules.
