The Mo You Know

but I wanted to give you an update. Things are really hopping over at spn_bigpretzel. It is a fun place to be!


People are posting fic, reccing art, videos and of course, fic. They are also making banners like the amazing one you see above.

We also have some pretty cool contests going, if you have been thinking about joining, but haven't quite made the leap yet.

spn_bigpretzel -- The Sunnier Side of SPN!

So last night, ficwriter1966 was asking about the existence of a comm for the lighter side of SPN.  Stories and art focused on the good stuff, the happy times, the brotherly moments. Because as much as we all love some good whumpage or angst, there are plenty of paces to go to find those stories, or post our work. But there isn't really a home for the" Sunnier Side of Supernatural", where the boys smile and share a laugh,play pranks on one another, watch "Dr. Sexy, M.D." and scarf down bacon cheeseburgers and giant pitchers of beer.  Where Dean might actually be able to enjoy pie! Where all of our favorite characters are able to enjoy a lighthearted moment.

Until now. There's a shiny new comm called spn_bigpretzel. So you are welcome to go post anything you may have created -- fic or art -- that's lighthearted in theme, gen, het, or slash.  Post some recs!  Talk about your favorite pranks.  Just have fun. And pass the word along.  And let other people know!

I am on the road this weekend, visiting my family. I have driven by a particular exit on Interstate 55 in Illinois several times that advertises a diner on the historic route 66. This time, I couldn't resist posting a little something about this place,even though I have never stopped by:



I am not sure I would stop by,even with this offer from their website:

Enjoy a coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, lemonade, or cranberry juice with your meal. Then top off your meal at Mt. Olive Crossroads with one of our homemade root beer floats or chocolate and strawberry milkshakes. We also have apple, cherry, banana cream, coconut cream, carrot cake, and nut cream pies sold by the slice.

I wonder if any if this would attract the attention of the Winchesters, or make them turn in the other direction?
